Up to P1.60/L fuel price hike set Tuesday

MANILA – Another round of fuel price increases is set to take effect on Tuesday (Feb. 3), with gasoline, diesel and kerosene prices rising again due to tight supply conditions and global market factors.

In separate advisories, Seaoil, Jetti Petroleum, PTT Philippines and Petron said gasoline prices will increase by PHP0.80/liter, diesel by PHP1.60/liter, and kerosene by PHP1.10/liter effective 6 a.m. Chevron (Caltex) will implement the same increases at 6:01 a.m.

This week’s fuel price adjustments is the fourth for gasoline and sixth for diesel and kerosene.

Last week, fuel prices were also raised: gasoline by PHP0.40/liter; diesel by PHP1.40/liter, and kerosene by PHP0.80/liter.

The price adjustments come amid ongoing global supply challenges, including disruptions in oil production and logistical constraints, which have kept upward pressure on pump prices despite earlier projections of softening prices. (PNA)
