Good weather, isolated rains to prevail across PH

MANILA – Fair weather with isolated rain showers due to the easterlies will prevail across the country on Thursday, the weather bureau said.

"Partly cloudy to cloudy skies and generally good weather will prevail across the country. Isolated rains are possible, especially in the afternoon," weather specialist Loriedin Galicia of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

"The easterlies are currently causing warmer temperatures compared to the temperatures in the past few weeks, but they could also cause localized thunderstorms."

PAGASA forecast scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Caraga region, Northern Mindanao, Davao Oriental, and Zamboanga del Norte.

Moderate to heavy rains in these areas could result in flash floods or landslides.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, no weather disturbance is expected to affect the country in the next two to three days, Galicia said.

Moderate winds and moderate seas will prevail across the northern and eastern sections of Luzon and the eastern section of the Visayas.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas. (PNA)
