CDO turns over P76.4-M first 'smart' school building in Bulua

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Local government officials here turned over a PHP76.4 million school building on Tuesday featuring "smart" classrooms, a first for the city.

Mayor Rolando Uy said during the ceremony that the facility at Bulua National High School (BNHS) would encourage students to hone their skills and learn at par with global standards.

The four-story building houses 16 classrooms equipped with computer sets and multimedia devices ready for digital systems.

"As chairman of the Local School Board, it is with great pride and happiness that this facility will be used by our youth," Uy said.

Before the building's completion, BNHS operated with only 48 classrooms for more than 4,300 students enrolled this school year.

School administrators reported the need for 64 more classrooms to accommodate the current student population. (PNA)
