MANILA – Some areas will experience rains due to two prevailing weather systems on Wednesday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
The easterlies will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms across Caraga and Davao Region. It will also bring isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Mindanao.
Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte will experience rains caused by the northeast monsoon or "amihan".
Severe thunderstorms and moderate to heavy rain in the aforementioned areas could result in flash floods or landslides, PAGASA warned.
The weather bureau, meanwhile, said the Visayas and the rest of Luzon will experience isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.
Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail across the northern and western sections of Northern Luzon, and the eastern section of the country.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with moderate to rough coastal waters.
As of 2 a.m., no low pressure area is being monitored for possible tropical cyclone formation, PAGASA said. (PNA)
